It seems we have a big trend this year as I see layered shirts all over the place. Of course, this is nothing new, but women invent so many great combinations that they create super cool outfits. In today’s article, I’m going to show you my favorite street style looks that have women appearing in different shirts that are underneath almost everything. Just before we figured out the best looks, I wanted to point out some simple style tips that you should follow in order to create a fabulous outfit.
The easiest way to achieve a layered look with a shirt is to combine a shirt dress or oversized shirt (taken from your friend) and layer it under a gray V-neck sweater. The tartan print of the shirt adds a lively touch. Add in cool leather chelsea boots, a white shoulder bag, and clear sunglasses.
One of the tops that you wear over or under should be plain and neutral in color. The sleeves should be classy, otherwise the voluminous sleeve under the layered top can appear ugly. You are free to combine different fabrics, including satin, lace, cotton, suede or sheer fabrics. Both tops can vary in length and texture, making them look elegant. If the silhouette of the outfit seems shapeless, you can always add a belt to enhance your curves, add a beautiful shape and emphasize your femininity.
